Overview: Do you have a flair for design? With the National Home Study
Interior Design and Decorating Course, you can develop your skills and
talents, learning how to combine colours, fabrics and furnishings to
create beautiful living spaces. Build a new career in this growing field
or simply learn how to re design your own home to a professional standard.
Assuming no previous knowledge, the course covers all aspects of interior
design, from design themes and decorating techniques, through to the
importance of working to a budget.
Support:
As a Direct Home Learning student you will be allocated a personal tutor whom will mark and
help you with your work. You will also have access to our tutorial support
service during normal office hours, for all the practical advice you may
need.
Assessment:
This course includes a number of tutor marked assessments that you
complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor. These
include practical design tasks and short questions on specific topics
within the course.
Career prospects:
Whilst many students simply take the course to gain new skills and re
design their homes, the knowledge and techniques you learn will be of use
in a number of different career paths including property development,
interior design and related professions.
