Overview:
Would you like to design fashion clothes and accessories for fun
or even profit? With the Net Learners Fashion Design and Drawing Course,
you can develop your skills and talents, learning how to design and draw
beautiful clothes for your own pleasure or as the first steps towards a
new and exciting career in this field.
Assuming no previous knowledge or drawing skill, the course covers all
aspects of fashion design and drawing, from basic design ideas and
concepts, to sketching your designs and preparing them as presentations
with choices of colour and fabric.
Support:
As a Direct Home Learning student you will be allocated a personal tutor
who will mark and help you with your work. You will also have access to
our tutorial support service during normal office hours, for all the
practical advice you may need.
Assessment:
This course includes a number of tutor marked assessments that you
complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor. These
include practical design tasks and short questions on specific topics
within the course.
Career prospects:
Whilst many students simply take the course to gain new skills and design
clothes for themselves, their family and friends, the knowledge and
techniques you learn will be of use in a number of different career paths
including fashion design, dress making, retail and related professions.
