Overview:
Within all areas of commercial and private life, the risk of
becoming a victim of crime is ever present. Nearly everyone is at risk,
from identity theft of members of the public, to serious financial fraud
by members of staff and management. The business partner who takes more
than their share, the sales assistant pocketing cash sales, companies whom
don’t pay their bills and disappear, the carefully planned and
sophisticated attack on an organisations finances by competitors or
criminals. The list is endless.
Traditionally, these were areas covered by the police and legal
professionals, yet increasingly the public and commercial organisations
are turning to private specialists to protect their interests and
property. With this specialised course, you can learn these valuable
skills.
Within the course you will cover every aspect of crime and investigation,
learning a range of theories and techniques, detection methods, how to
successfully interview witnesses and suspects, and gain the evidence your
client needs. You will also learn about the psychology behind the crime,
how to profile likely offenders and how individuals and organisations can
best protect themselves from further attack.
Support:

service during normal office hours, for all the practical advice you may

Assessment:
This course includes a number of tutor marked assessments that
you complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor.
These consist of a range of practical tasks, and short questions on
specific topics within the course.
