CHILD CARE DIPLOMA COURSE

Overview:
Whether you are a new parent wishing to learn more
about your child’s care and development, or perhaps wish to learn some
basic skills as a stepping stone to working in this field, this course can
help you.
The majority of students taking this course
are new to child care and are looking for a course which can provide them
with the skills to improve their interactions with children, or the basic
knowledge in order to assist in a kindergarten or pre-school setting.
Distance learning courses are not cache
accredited, but do provide valuable underpinning knowledge towards higher
Nursery Nursing qualifications. Indeed, a great many successful students
will, once working, progress on to the NNEB or NVQ3 certificates via their
employers.
Support:
As a Direct Home Learning student, you will be allocated a personal tutor who will
mark and help you with your work. You will also have access to our
tutorial support service during normal office hours, for all the practical
advice you may need.
Assessment:
This course includes a number of tutor marked assessments that
you complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor.
These consist of short questions on specific topics within the course.
Career prospects:
Distance learning courses are not cache accredited, but do
provide valuable underpinning knowledge towards higher qualifications. The
course is however generally sufficient to work as a nursery assistant or
similar.
